Alp Korkmaz — Biography

Alp Korkmaz was born on March 2, 1981 in Ankara. After completing his primary and secondary education in Istanbul and Çanakkale, he went to the United States for university. After graduating from the Radio and Television Department of the University of South Florida, he studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre in New York.

Returning to Turkey in 2006, he was discovered by Türker İnanoğlu shortly after his arrival and began playing the sniper policeman Ali in the Erler Film production Arka Sokaklar. He took a break from the series between April and September 2010 for his military service, then returned to his role.

His first feature film was Melekler ve Kumarbazlar (2009), followed by Laz Vampir Tirakula (2012) and Peri Masalı (2014); in 2018 he appeared in the series İkizler Memo-Can. The actor, who returned to Arka Sokaklar in 2025, continues to play Ali.
