Angela Finocchiaro — Biography

Angela Finocchiaro was born on 20 November 1955 in Milan and is an Italian actress, comedian and screenwriter whose career spans stage, television and film. Playing a supporting role in Cristina Comencini's Don't Tell (also known as La bestia nel cuore), she earned the 2006 David di Donatello, Italian cinema's top honor, and repeated the win a year later playing the character Amelia Benassi in the film My Brother Is an Only Child. Earlier in her career she appeared in Il burbero (1986) and To Want to Fly (1991), before building a body of comic and dramatic work that included A Perfect Day (2008) and Indovina chi viene a Natale? (2013). She has remained active in more recent years, taking part in the Italian edition of the improv comedy program LOL - Chi ride è fuori and appearing on screen in The Price of Family (2022) and its sequel The Price of Nonna's Inheritance (2024).
