Aytaç Şaşmaz — Biography
Aytaç Şaşmaz was born on 5 August 1994 in Istanbul; his older brother İsmail Ege Şaşmaz is also an actor. He grew interested in theatre during high school and went on to train formally before moving into professional acting.
He made his screen debut in the 2017 film Kötü Çocuk, and that same year joined the cast of Söz on Star TV alongside lead actor Tolga Sarıtaş, becoming widely recognized for playing the soldier Feyzullah. He later took the role of Emre Acar in Hekimoğlu, and his 2021 leading role in Baht Oyunu marked a major breakthrough, earning him the award for Best Actor in a Romantic Comedy at the 47th Golden Butterfly Awards.
In the following years he appeared in the series Darmaduman, Altın Kafes and Sen Ağlama İstanbul, as well as the films Hatıran Yeter and Aşk Tesadüfleri Sever 2; in early 2026 he began playing Erkan Aldur in the Star TV series Sevdiğim Sensin. He has also appeared in commercials and released the songs "Barındığım Hikaye" and "Vazgeçme."
