Tolga Sarıtaş — Biography

Tolga Sarıtaş was born on 30 May 1991 in Istanbul; his family is originally from Sivas. After high school he turned to acting, performing on stage at the Esenyurt Municipal Theatre and Tiyatro Zeytindalı. He studied in the Department of Geography at Istanbul University.

He had his first cinema experience in 2009 with the film Bahtı Kara. He drew attention with his role as Şehzade Cihangir in Muhteşem Yüzyıl and reached wide audiences with the character Ali Mertoğlu in Güneş'in Kızları. In 2017 he portrayed Meriç Tuna in the film Kötü Çocuk.

With his role as Yavuz Karasu in the series Söz, he won the Golden Butterfly Award for Best Actor in 2017 and was nominated for Best Actor at the International Emmy Awards in 2018. He then starred in the series Ferhat ile Şirin, Arıza, Teşkilat and Baba, and appeared in the 2022 film Yolun Açık Olsun. In 2026, his departure from Teşkilat and his posts with his son Ali made the news.
