İlker Aksum — Biography
İbrahim İlker Aksum was born on 23 May 1971 in Isparta; after training at the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory he took the stage with the Antalya State Theatre and spent years working in theatre. He first appeared on screen as Afakan Dayı, a role he shared with a chimpanzee co-star in the series Çarli, and gained real recognition as Ruşen in Yabancı Damat.
His first feature film, Küçük Kıyamet (2006), won him the SİYAD Best Supporting Actor award, and he took his first lead film role in Bizim Büyük Çaresizliğimiz (2011). After roles in series such as Muhteşem Yüzyıl, Diriliş Ertuğrul and Poyraz Karayel, he reached wide audiences with 7. Koğuştaki Mucize (2019) and the Netflix film Azizler (2021).
More recently he has appeared in Ramo, Kadıköy Boğası and Olay Para, and stars in the 2026 series Altı Üstü İstanbul. In his personal life, he announced becoming a father at 53 to a daughter, Lila, with his partner Şeyma Şener.
