Dragon Trap (Ejder Kapanı)

Dragon Trap (Turkish: Ejder Kapanı) is a 2009 Turkish action-thriller and crime film directed by Uğur Yücel, following two detectives who investigate a string of murders targeting released child abusers in Istanbul. Released nationwide in Turkey on January 22, 2010, it ranked among the highest-grossing Turkish films of that year. The lead roles are shared by Uğur Yücel, Kenan İmirzalıoğlu, Nejat İşler, Berrak Tüzünataç and Ceyda Düvenci.

Shortly before the killings begin, the twelve-year-old sister of Ensar, a soldier serving in the southeast, is raped and takes her own life, after which Ensar vanishes. Homicide detectives Amir Abbas and Chief Commissioner 'Scorpion' Celal hunt the killer, who enjoys quiet public support, while a bond grows between Celal and the intern Ezo. Filming lasted about eight weeks, mostly in Istanbul with one week in Erzincan. The ensemble also features Ozan Güven, İlker Aksum, Ezgi Mola and Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan, with Erol Avcı credited as producer.
