Ceyda Düvenci — Biography

Ceyda Düvenci was born on 16 April 1977 in Bursa, the only child of actor İsmail Düvenci and music teacher Zümrüt Düvenci. After Kadıköy Anatolian High School, she graduated from Marmara University's Faculty of Economics and later completed a master's degree in film and drama at Kadir Has University.

She stepped onto screen in 1995 with the series Palavra Aşklar, and after placing third in a 1997 national beauty contest became widely known through the program Sabah Şekerleri. She began stage acting with Gökhan Semiz's e.s.e.k company and was nominated for a Selim Naşit Theatre Award for a comic role. Her breakthrough came as Bennu in Binbir Gece (2006); she went on to play Elif in Umutsuz Ev Kadınları (2011), Deniz in Maral (2015) and Suzan in Babam ve Ailesi (2016), and in recent years appeared in Kal (2022) and the series Sakla Beni and Prens (2023). She volunteered to narrate Cenneti Beklerken (2007), the first Turkish film using audio description for the visually impaired, and voiced Elena Fisher in the Uncharted video games.

Drawing on the story of her daughter Melisa, who was treated for cerebral palsy, she has written children's books; in 2026 she hosted the program Bambaşka Sohbetler and married Güçlü Mete.
