Ruhsar

Ruhsar is a Turkish fantasy comedy series produced by ANS Productions and broadcast on Kanal D between 1998 and 2001. Written by Gani Müjde, it ran for five seasons and concluded with its 108th episode on December 29, 2001.

The story follows the death-defying love of Ruhsar, who dies of an incurable illness shortly after her wedding, and her husband Mazhar. Having passed into the afterlife, Ruhsar's good deeds earn her the right to return to Earth only when it rains, though as a spirit she can be seen solely by Mazhar. Around this supernatural premise, comic events unfold involving Mazhar's mother and sister, who try to marry him off, his loyal friend Müfit, and the colorful characters of the neighborhood. The series also inspired a 2007 production titled Hayal ve Gerçek, again written by Gani Müjde.
