Zuhal Topal — Biography
Zuhal Topal was born on 23 September 1976 in Istanbul, the first child of a family from Gaziantep. At university she was admitted to both the Interior Architecture programme and the theatre department of the Müjdat Gezen Art Center, and chose theatre. She stepped onto the screen in 1993 with the series Yazlıkçılar and became widely known for playing Suzan in Sihirli Annem and Şükufe in Geniş Aile.
After viewers responded well to her role as a matchmaking-show host in Papatyam, she was offered her own dating programme, Zuhal Topal'la İzdivaç. Her role as Nermin in Avrupa Avrupa (2011-2013) won her Best Comedy Actress at the Antalya TV Awards. Having gradually left acting behind, she hosted Zuhal Topal'la Sofrada on Fox from 2018 to 2021, and since September 2021 has hosted Zuhal Topal'la Yemekteyiz on TV8, a cooking competition between prospective brides and their mothers-in-law. She married musician Korhan Saygıner in 2008, and their daughter Lina was born in 2013.
