The Cruel One (Zalim) (translated)

Zalim (The Cruel One) is a Turkish adventure television series that aired on Star TV in 2003. It began broadcasting on 14 March 2003 and wrapped up with its thirteenth episode on 25 June 2003. Although no firm decision was announced about a further season, the show never came back, and even reruns were never broadcast. One unusual aspect of the series was that its promotional trailers were screened in cinemas to reach audiences.

Produced by Star TV, the series was directed by Faruk Teber from a screenplay by Tayfun Güneyer. Mahsun Kırmızıgül and Ceyda Düvenci took the leading roles, supported by a cast that included Zafer Ergin, Nebahat Çehre, Ümit Okur, Şafak Sezer, Taner Ertürkler, Cezmi Baskın and Aliye Uzunatağan.
