Levend Yılmaz — Biography
Levend Yılmaz was born in 1948 in Ankara. After graduating from the Faculty of Forestry at Istanbul University, he turned to acting and trained at Dostlar Tiyatrosu.
He stepped in front of the camera in the mid-1980s and established himself in cinema with films such as Namuslu (1984), Adı Vasfiye and Çıplak Vatandaş (1985), Ahh Belinda (1986), Kaçamak and Afife Jale (1987). In the 1990s he appeared in films including Berdel, Devlerin Ölümü, Böcek and Duruşma, as well as in series such as Çakalların İzinde and Baba Evi.
In the 2000s he acted in productions such as Hürrem Sultan, Çemberimde Gül Oya, Yağmur Zamanı, Komiser Nevzat and Pardon, and in the 2010s he appeared before audiences in the series Yer Gök Aşk, Kösem Sultan and Kalbimdeki Deniz, portraying the character Mehmet in the latter. Never straying far from the theatre stage, he has continued his stage work in recent years.
