Bullet Wound (Kurşun Yarası) (translated)
Kurşun Yarası is a Turkish drama series produced by Avşar Film and broadcast on atv between 2003 and 2005. The production ran for two seasons and concluded with its 60th episode. The first season tells the story of Halil Efe, the hero of the well-known Çökertme folk song, while the second season follows a local hero nicknamed 'Karapoşu', who emerges in an Aegean town under occupation during the Turkish War of Independence. In this way, the series portrays two distinct periods of the region: the efe tradition immortalized in folk songs and the resistance spirit of the liberation years. Starring Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan, Bülent İnal, Nur Sürer and Aslı Tandoğan, the series is counted among the popular domestic productions of its time.
