Gözde Kansu — Biography

Born on August 23, 1980, in İzmir, Gözde Kansu finished Tevfik Fikret High School and then entered the theatre program at Dokuz Eylül University in İzmir, part of its Faculty of Fine Arts, after passing its entrance exam. She began her artistic path in ballet before moving into theatre and music activities at school, and later performed with the Istanbul City Theatres, touring with them to Antalya.

Kansu's early credits were guest parts in the popular series Kurşun Yarası, Ayrılsak da Beraberiz, Çiçek Taksi and En Son Babalar Duyar, before her breakout as Nimet in Dudaktan Kalbe. She then crossed into film with Issız Adam and Abuzer Kadayıf, and took roles in Hanımın Çiftliği, Al Yazmalım, Cemile, Canım Benim, Yeter Anne, Bahar Dalları, Medcezir and Ankara'nın Dikmeni. In 2013, an outfit she wore while hosting a competition show was criticized by Hüseyin Çelik, after which she stepped down from presenting and was replaced by Murat Başoğlu. She went on to appear in Ulan İstanbul, İçerde, Gecenin Kraliçesi, Sen Anlat Karadeniz and Geçmiş, playing Esin in the latter, and reached a wider audience as Gülgün Korhan in Yalı Çapkını. She appeared in the 2026 film Başıbozuklar, directed by Gani Müjde, and was added to the ensemble of the series Çirkin that same year.
