Çetin Tekindor — Biography

Çetin Tekindor, born on July 16, 1945, in Sivas, is a Turkish theater, film, and television actor and voice actor. He graduated from Ankara State Conservatory in 1970 and began his stage career; for many years, he taught acting and diction classes at Bilkent University and Hacettepe University State Conservatory. He became widely known for voicing the character portrayed by Rock Hudson in foreign productions on TRT (Turkish Radio and Television).

He made his real breakthrough on screen in 1984 with Yücel Çakmaklı's series Küçük Ağa; he entered the world of cinema in 1987 with the film Kaçamak, in which he shared the lead role with Müjde Ar. In 1999, he acted in the series Yılan Hikayesi. In 2005, the character Hüseyin, which he portrayed in Çağan Irmak's Babam ve Oğlum, created a great stir nationwide and became one of the iconic roles of his career.

The veteran actor, who brought important characters to life in series such as A Tale of Istanbul (2003), Rebel (2007), and Karadayı (2012) where he played Nazif Kara, portrayed Celal in İçerde in 2016; and acted in the films Ayla and Babam in 2017. Tekindor, who is currently in the cast of the series Yalı Çapkını, has a child named Hira from his marriage to actress Zerrin Tekindor.
