The Conqueror (Mehmed: Bir Cihan Fatihi)

Mehmed: Bir Cihan Fatihi is a Turkish historical drama series produced by O3 Medya, which began airing on Kanal D on March 20, 2018. The series portrays the power struggle of Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II, shaped by his conquest of Constantinople. The young ruler must fight not only the Byzantine Empire and the Christian world behind it, but also Halil Pasha, the most powerful opposition within the state itself.

The story follows Fatih, who, two years after ascending the throne, achieves the so-called impossible by conquering Constantinople after a siege lasting only 53 days, laying the foundations of a great empire. Directed by Cevdet Mercan, the series stars Kenan İmirzalıoğlu, Çetin Tekindor, Gürkan Uygun, Ertan Saban, and Hazal Filiz Küçükköse. The production concluded after a single season with its sixth episode, aired on May 1, 2018.
