Mert Yazıcıoğlu — Biography
Mert Yazıcıoğlu was born on May 10, 1993 in Istanbul. He trained as an actor at the 3 Mota workshop and had his first screen experience with the film Dedemin İnsanları (2011). Joining the cast of Karagül in 2013, he became widely known as the character Baran.
He went on to appear in the series Umuda Kelepçe Vurulmaz (2016) and Bir Litre Gözyaşı (2018), and took the lead in İyi Oyun (2018), Türkiye's first e-sports themed film. His role as Sinan in the Netflix series Aşk 101 (2020) brought him international fame.
His performance as Cüneyd Güneş in the series Kızıl Goncalar (2023) earned him the Best Actor award at the 50th Golden Butterfly Awards. In 2025 he began playing Orhan Bey in the series Kuruluş: Orhan; in 2026 he made headlines with his new series Kalbimin Rotası Karadeniz, filmed in the Black Sea region.
