My babies (Yavrularım) (translated)

Directed by Bilge Olgaç, the 1984 Turkish drama Yavrularım follows a family of five children who have returned to Turkey for good after living abroad. When the father becomes unable to work, the household is shaken, and soon the mother, Seher Kaya, is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Devoted to her husband and children, Seher is consumed by worry about what will become of her little ones after she is gone. In her remaining days she desperately searches for a trustworthy new family for each of her children, fighting for a future she will never witness. The film is an adaptation of the 1983 American television movie Who Will Love My Children? starring Ann-Margret. It stars Hülya Koçyiğit opposite Çetin Tekindor, marking Tekindor's feature film debut.
