Hülya Koçyiğit — Biography
Hülya Koçyiğit was born on 12 December 1947 in the Kuzguncuk district of Istanbul and became one of the most recognizable faces of Turkish cinema over a career spanning six decades. Having appeared in roughly 180 films, she was granted the title of State Artist in 1991. That same period, she helped found the Cinema Actors Association and served as its first president for four years, remaining on its board to this day. Alongside Filiz Akın, Fatma Girik and Türkan Şoray, she is regarded as one of the legendary quartet of Yeşilçam's golden age. Her work has been honored at numerous festivals abroad, among them the Antalya Golden Orange.
