Barış Falay — Biography

Barış Falay (born April 9, 1972, in Edremit, Balıkesir) is a Turkish theatre, film, and television actor. He graduated from the Theatre Department of Ankara University's Faculty of Language, History and Geography; after two years at the Ankara State Theatre, he joined the İzmit City Theatre in 1997, where he appeared in plays such as Hamlet, The Threepenny Opera, Roberto Zucco, and Azizname.

His screen career began in 2001 with the series Dadı; he attracted attention as Mücahit in Aliye (2004) and made his real breakthrough as Kerpeten Ali in Ezel (2009). He consolidated his success with Al Yazmalım (2011), the film Ya Sonra (2011) in which he took the lead role, Medcezir (2013), and Paramparça (2014). In recent years he played Reşat in the series Ömer (2023) and Macit in the film İyi Adamın 10 Günü (2023); since 2025 he has appeared on screen as Şahinşah Bey in the series Kuruluş: Orhan. He is married to actress Esra Ronabar.
