Güzin Usta — Biography

Born on March 8, 1953, Güzin Usta is a native of İzmit who trained in acting at the theater department of the Müjdat Gezen Art Center. Her screen career began with the 1995 series Çiçek taksi, and in the decades since she has taken part in more than seventy productions, making her one of the most prolific character actresses on Turkish television.

In the first half of the 2000s she took roles in Dadı, then Ekmek Teknesi and Tatlı Hayta, along with brief appearances in Gülbeyaz and Üzgünüm Leyla. She was also seen in the 2003 series Alacakaranlık, as well as Esir Şehrin Gözyaşları and Mühürlü Güller. A later stretch of work included Zümrüt, Müjgan Bey and Hayalet, followed by a part in Haziran Gecesi. Between 2005 and 2006 she appeared in Yine de Aşığım and Affet Beni, then Adak and Fırtınalı Aşk, before joining Zeliha'nın Gözleri in 2007.

On the big screen she appeared in Destere and Ayakta Kal, followed by Kolpaçino. Starting with the 2009 series Aile Saadeti, she went on to Yahşi Cazibe, Hanımeli Sokağı, Adım Bayram Bayram, Canım Benim and Babam Sağolsun. In 2016 she reached a wide audience playing Cemile Şahin in Kalbimdeki Deniz, and in the 2020 series Kuzey Yıldızı İlk Aşk she played the character Hadiye Sezgin.
