Breadwinner (Ekmek Teknesi) (translated)

Ekmek Teknesi is a Turkish comedy-drama television series that premiered on ATV on November 16, 2002, following the everyday adventures of a family. A joint production of Sinegraf and Pana Film, it moved to Show TV in 2004 for its final season and ended after three seasons with its 106th episode, broadcast on June 13, 2005. Sinegraf filmed the first 71 episodes, while Pana Film produced the remainder.

The cast featured Savaş Dinçel as Nusret Baba, Sermin Hürmeriç as Ayhan Anne, Ahmet Yenilmez as Celal, Cem Kılıç as Korkut and Hasan Kaçan as Heredot Cevdet. Embraced for its faithful portrait of a middle-class Turkish family, the show stood out for its careful use of Turkish and its fondness for half-forgotten idioms and proverbs. It was shot in Istanbul's Kuzguncuk neighborhood, largely around İcadiye Street, and its theme music by İncesaz became memorable. In 2015, a TRT 1 program titled Heredot Cevdet Saati was announced, featuring only the Heredot Cevdet character.
