Love Is Red (Aşk Kırmızı)

Aşk Kırmızı ("Love Is Red") is a 2013 Turkish romantic drama written and directed by Osman Sınav. It opened in cinemas on 15 March 2013.

Its premise is a single question: can love work between three people? Ferhat and Zeynep look, from the outside, like a settled and contented couple — until Nazlıgül, the first love Ferhat left behind years earlier, walks back into his life. The two cannot keep away from each other, and once Zeynep discovers the betrayal she is forced to weigh whether a husband can be shared at all. What complicates the triangle is that the two women grow genuinely fond of one another, leaving no obvious villain in the story.

Nurgül Yeşilçay, Tayanç Ayaydın and Ezgi Asaroğlu play the three leads, supported by Teoman Kumbaracıbaşı, Sait Genay, Şebnem Dilligil, Renan Karagözoğlu and Ayda Aksel. Reaction on release was lukewarm at best: press and audience ratings alike stayed low, and Turkish critics aimed most of their objections at the screenplay rather than the performances.
