Wild Heart (Deli Yürek)

Deli Yürek (Wild Heart) is a Turkish action-drama series with political themes, created by Osman Sınav and produced by Sinegraf. It premiered on Show TV on 5 October 1998, aired its first three seasons there, and concluded with a fourth season on ATV, ending on 24 June 2002 after 113 episodes of roughly 60 minutes each.

The series follows Yusuf Miroğlu, a classic folk-hero archetype who grows increasingly isolated within a corrupt modern Turkey until he becomes a myth, while charting the transformation of society around him. Led by Kenan İmirzalıoğlu, its large ensemble and ambitious action sequences made it one of the first professional Turkish TV productions; its theme music was composed by the group Aria (Bora Ebeoğlu and Cengiz Onural). A consistent ratings leader, it won RTGD and MGD awards, its soundtrack albums sold strongly, it spawned the 2001 film 'Deli Yürek: Bumerang Cehennemi,' and it became the first Turkish drama exported abroad, reaching countries such as Bulgaria and Kazakhstan.
