Gerçek Alnıaçık — Biography

Gerçek Alnıaçık, born Gerçek Sağlar, was born in Istanbul on 19 March 1977. After six years of ballet training at the Ankara State Theatre, she completed the institution's theater department and turned to the performing arts. She is the stepdaughter of former Minister of Culture and Tourism Fikri Sağlar, while her biological father was Mehmet Büyükağaoğlu, a film and theater actor who died in 2000.

Alnıaçık first drew wide attention with her role as Gülsüm in the series Kurşun Yarası, inspired by the folk song "Çökertme," and built on that recognition with the series Gurbet Kadını. Her portrayal of the terrorist character "Küpeli Necla" in Sakarya Fırat became one of the most talked-about performances of her career.

She went on to appear in series such as Naciye'yi Kim Sevmez, Vurgun, Kod Adı: Kaos and Kabuslar Evi: Çizgisiz Zamanlar, later playing Neşe in the series Seviyor Sevmiyor, as well as taking part in the film Beni Sen Anlat and the short film Vakit. In 2013 she married Kürşat Alnıaçık, her co-star from Sakarya Fırat.
