Emir Benderlioğlu was born in 1979 in Ankara.

He studied in the Sculpture Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University and then trained in the Graphics Department.

He had his first acting experience in 2006 with the film Adem'in Trenleri, and went on to appear in the films Dağ II, Panzehir and Deli Dumrul.
