When We Leave (Ayrılık, original title Die Fremde) is a 2010 drama written and directed by Austrian filmmaker Feo Aladağ in Germany, starring Sibel Kekilli, Derya Alabora, and Florian Lukas.

Umay, a young woman living in Germany, moves to Istanbul after her marriage, but flees back to Berlin with her small son to escape her husband's violence. Her family rejects her, blaming her for leaving her husband and dishonoring their name. Defying the pressure of her conservative surroundings, Umay struggles to build a new life with her child. The film was selected as Germany's candidate for the Academy Awards.
