Erkan Avcı — Biography

Erkan Avcı, born in Diyarbakır on December 17, 1982, studied acting at Mimar Sinan University and began his career on the stage before also working from time to time as a voice actor and assistant director. His television debut came in 2006 in Köprü, followed by parts in Ayrılık, Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu, Acemi Müezzin and Sakarya Fırat. Playing Ahmet in the 2011 film Zenne brought him a Best Supporting Actor prize at the 48th Golden Orange festival, and that same year he appeared in Gişe Memuru; he moved into cinema properly with Can in 2012, going on to play Selami in Uzun Hikaye.

Playing Barut Necdet in Karadayı made him widely known, after which he took the role of Korhan Korludağ in Cesur ve Güzel and joined Payitaht Abdülhamid's cast. Audiences also came to recognize him as Aya Nikola in Kuruluş Osman and Çeto in Çukur; he later portrayed Bahtiyar in Müslüm and Zafer Günaltay in Şampiyon, before taking on Sadi Hüdayi Güneş in Kızıl Goncalar and, from 2025, Asil in Kızılcık Şerbeti.
