Hakan Boyav — Biography
Hakan Boyav was born on 10 January 1964 in Ödemiş, İzmir. A graduate of the Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts, he spent a period working at the state theatres and also took on theatre directing.
He had his first on-screen experience with the 2003 series Asmalı Konak. After series such as Arapsaçı, Seher Vakti, Hırsız Polis, Fırtına, Duvar and Dağlar Delisi, he also made his name in cinema with the films Barda, Vali, Ejder Kapanı and Behzat Ç. Seni Kalbime Gömdüm, and appeared in productions such as Hanımın Çiftliği, Beyaz Karanfil and Kış Güneşi.
Between 2017 and 2021 he won the appreciation of a wide audience as Mahmud Pasha in the TRT 1 series Payitaht Abdülhamid. The actor, who appeared in the series Balkan Ninnisi in 2022, continues his career without leaving the theatre stage.
