Cüneyt Mete — Biography
Cüneyt Mete was born in 1970 in the Bornova district of İzmir, into a family with roots in Artvin Şavşat. After graduating from the Theatre Department of Ankara University's State Conservatory, he took to the stage with the Ankara State Theatre; he is the father of twins, Cem and Ferhan.
He made his screen debut in the 1991 film Varyemez, then built a long television career through series such as Köprü and Unutma Beni, in which he played the character Kenan across eight seasons, alongside roles in Kurtlar Vadisi Terör, Kayıp Prenses and Ayrılık. A part in Beni Affet brought him wider recognition, and he went on to play Cemal Göreçki in Aşk ve Mavi and Orhan in Kardeşlerim.
He married Şeyma Korkmaz, a colleague he met on the set of Beni Affet, in the spring of 2019, and since 2024 has starred as Yaşar Demir in ATV's Can Borcu, continuing to combine theatre with his television work.
