Kenan Çoban — Biography

Born 22 January 1975 in the Palu district of Elazığ, Kenan Çoban turned to acting after graduating from the Elazığ trade and vocational high school. He started out on the Kurtlar Vadisi set handing tea and lemonade to the crew, work that gradually led to the role of Abdülhey Çoban; he carried that part from 2003 to 2014, reprising it in follow-up productions Kurtlar Vadisi Irak, Kurtlar Vadisi Terör, Ayrılık, Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu and Kurtlar Vadisi Filistin.

In 2014 he played Zülfü Korkmaz in Beyaz Karanfil, a series cancelled after six episodes; from 2015 to 2020 he played Fahri in Eşkiya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz, and in 2018 took a soldier's role in the film Bal Kaymak. Since 2024 he has played Malkoçoğlu Bali Bey in TRT1's Mehmed: Fetihler Sultanı.

Previously married to Dilek Özkan, he wed his second wife, Helin Nazlı, in 2017. News outlets covered him joining efforts against a Çanakkale wildfire in July 2025, and the following year quoted his rebuttal to critics who tie screen violence to real crime, a stance he laid instead at social media's door.
