Kanbolat Görkem Arslan — Biography

Kanbolat Görkem Arslan was born on 4 November 1980 in Düzce. He began acting training in 1997 at the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Acting Workshop and graduated from Hacettepe University's State Conservatory theatre program; performing on stage from 1998. He made his screen debut in 2004 with the series Çemberimde Gül Oya, then gained wider recognition playing Mahir Çayan in Hatırla Sevgili.

He appeared in Ezel and Ayrılık, and in the films Hayatın Tuzu and Teslimiyet, in 2009, then spent 2010-2012 on Yer Gök Aşk; he was in Yurt in 2011 and, in 2013, played Cemal in the film Daire alongside a role in the series Tatar Ramazan. His career peaked in 2014-2016 as Sefer Kılıçarslan in Kanal D's Poyraz Karayel.

In 2018 he played Yener Fettah, the ruthless elder son of Kudret Fettah, in Bir Deli Rüzgar and Servet. Turning to historical productions in his later years, he played Saru Batu Savcı in Kuruluş Osman (2019), Saltuk Beg in Destan (2021), and Gümüştekin in Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi (2023), and appeared in the 2025 film Oy'una Geldik.

On 11 February 2026 he suffered a sudden heart episode at his home in Beyoğlu and was rushed to Taksim Training and Research Hospital; despite efforts to save him, he died at age 45, and was buried the next day at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery.
