Antidote (Panzehir)

Antidote is a 2014 Turkish action and adventure film written and directed by Alper Çağlar, released in cinemas on May 9, 2014. The director's third feature after Büşra and Dağ, the film blends action with film noir elements.

The story centers on Kadir Korkut, a 48-year-old hitman who has served for thirty years as the right-hand man of Kara Cemal, the crime boss ruling Istanbul's underworld. When Kadir falls in love with Elsa Lund, a blind woman, he decides to leave this dark life behind. However, Cemal, whom he regards as a father, betrays him and has him poisoned with a chemical that kills within six hours. Kadir's only hope is to eliminate, in one final night, the people Cemal — who holds the antidote — wants dead. Starring Emin Boztepe and Cüneyt Arkın, the film features music by Clint Bajakian and was distributed by Warner Bros.
