Öykü Gürman — Biography

Öykü Gürman was born on August 4, 1982 in Istanbul. She studied at the Turkish Music State Conservatory of Istanbul Technical University, training in singing and violin, and performed as a soloist in flamenco ensembles and school orchestras. In 2007 she formed the duo Öykü ve Berk with her twin brother Berk Gürman; the video they made for the song Evlerinin Önü Boyalı Direk drew wide attention on YouTube and made them known to large audiences. The duo released albums such as Kısmet and İki Arada, after which Öykü Gürman turned to a solo music career. She stepped into acting in 2014 with the series Urfalıyam Ezelden and appeared in the film Panzehir the same year. In 2018 she won great acclaim with her role as Asiye Kaleli in the series Sen Anlat Karadeniz, broadcast on ATV, and in 2020 she portrayed Sitare Pusat in the series Gel Dese Aşk. The artist, who performs pop and flamenco songs, appeared before viewers in 2026 as Fahriye in the series Altı Üstü İstanbul.
