Adam and the Devil (Adem'in Trenleri)

Adam and the Devil (Adem'in Trenleri) is a 2007 Turkish drama film directed by Barış Pirhasan from a screenplay by İsmail Doruk. Released on March 2, 2007, it was Pirhasan's second feature after She Loves Me Too.

The story follows Imam Hasan Hoca, who marries Hacer to shield her from her family after she is left pregnant and abandoned by Bekir. For years he cares for her and her daughter without expecting anything in return, regarding the situation as a kind of divine test. His settled life is shaken when he is assigned to a small train station and crosses paths with Bekir once more. Nurgül Yeşilçay and Cem Özer star, making this the first film the married couple appeared in together; the cast also includes Derya Alabora and Asuman Dabak. The film competed in the national feature competition of the 2007 Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.
