The Little Apocalypse (Küçük Kıyamet)

Küçük Kıyamet (The Little Apocalypse) is a 2006 Turkish psychological horror and thriller film directed by the Taylan brothers, Durul and Yağmur Taylan, from a screenplay by Doğu Yücel. Produced by Limon Film and released on December 22, 2006, the film examines the collective anxiety surrounding the long-anticipated major Istanbul earthquake, turning society's dread of catastrophe into an intimate story of personal trauma and human helplessness in the face of natural disaster.

At the center of the story is Bilge, who lost her mother in an earthquake years earlier. Unable to bear the constant paranoia of the expected quake, she leaves Istanbul with her family for a small southern coastal town, only to encounter mysterious events that force them to confront the very fears they tried to escape. Başak Köklükaya stars in the lead role, alongside a cast that includes Cansel Elçin, Binnur Kaya, Özgür Çevik and İlker Aksum.
