Bora Akkaş — Biography

Known offstage by his full name, Doğa Bora Akkaş, the actor was born on 12 October 1990 in Istanbul and finished his schooling at the Kadıköy Private Fine Arts High School. After training in city theatres, he made his screen debut in the 2002 film Gönlümdeki Köşk Olmasa, a performance that earned him a Golden Orange award.

He was also active in music around the same period, playing bass in the band Hakunamatata before recording as a solo rapper under the name Doğa Bora and finishing runner-up, alongside Deniz Gürzumar, in the 2008 Miller Music Factory contest. Between 2009 and 2011 he reached a wide audience as Zekai Kirişçi in the series Geniş Aile, a profile he carried into later roles in Unutma Beni, Annem Uyurken, Çifte Saadet, Dayan Yüreğim, Aslan Ailem, Tutunamayanlar, Üç Kuruş and Erşan Kuneri. His film work includes Küçük Kıyamet, Adab-ı Muaşeret, the Kocan Kadar Konuş series and Hürkuş: Göklerdeki Kahraman.

In his personal life he married actress Seda Türkmen in 2017, the couple divorcing by mutual agreement in 2019; he married blogger Oben Alkan in February 2023, and the couple had a daughter, Suzan, later that year. In the 2025 series Veliaht he played Zafer Karslı, a character killed off in the show's 2026 storyline, marking his exit from the production.
