Happy Family Album (Mutlu Aile Defteri) (translated)

Mutlu Aile Defteri is a Turkish comedy film shot in 2012 and released in February 2013. Directed by Nihat Durak from a screenplay by Ali Demirel, the roughly 94-minute film sets most of its story in İzmir.

The plot follows retired officer Yıldırım Taşyumruk as he tries to set his three children's lives in order, only to encounter the secrets each of them keeps. Pastry chef Kudret hides his bankruptcy, teacher Cevdet conceals a lottery win, and İsmet, who moved to Istanbul to write for a TV series, bases his script directly on his own family. The web of lies unravels in a humorous yet warm-hearted way. The main cast features Tuncel Kurtiz, İlker Aksum, Bülent Emrah Parlak, Büşra Pekin, Binnur Kaya and Öner Erkan.
