Büşra Pekin — Biography

Elif Büşra Pekin (born 30 June 1982 in Saudi Arabia) is a Turkish actress and screenwriter. Her family is from İzmir and lived in Saudi Arabia for a period because of her father's work; she spent her childhood between the two and finished high school in the United States. She graduated in acting from Dokuz Eylül University in 2005.

She then moved to Istanbul and worked for many years with the BKM Mutfak ensemble, becoming widely known through the sketch comedy programme Çok Güzel Hareketler Bunlar. She made her cinema debut in Kutsal Damacana (2007) and won the SİYAD award for best supporting actress for Neşeli Hayat. Her credits include Mutlu Aile Defteri (2013), Hadi İnşallah (2014), İtirazım Var (2014), Mucize (2015), Benim Adım Feridun (2016), Kolonya Cumhuriyeti (2017) and Yılbaşı Gecesi (2022), and she took the title role in Dilberay (2022), based on the singer's life. She has also appeared in the series Muhteşem Yüzyıl, Kardeş Payı and İşler Güçler.

In April 2026 she was among several public figures detained in an Istanbul narcotics investigation; she said she had never used the substances in question, and her test was reported as negative.
