Sarp Akkaya — Biography
Sarp Akkaya, born on May 13, 1980 in Istanbul, is a Turkish theater, film and television actor. He is the brother of actress Esra Akkaya and the twin brother of Kaya Akkaya. He graduated from the Theatre Department of the Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory in 2001 and started acting with the series Bizim Aile.
He became known in 2007 with the role of Servet in Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu and made his big breakthrough in 2009 as Tevfik in Ezel. He played Sarı in Suskunlar (2012) and Atmaca in Muhteşem Yüzyıl, shared the lead with Mehmet Aslantuğ in Racon (2015) and portrayed Demir in Paramparça.
In cinema he stood out with Labirent (2011), Kötü Çocuk (2017) and the role of Warden Nail in 7. Koğuştaki Mucize (2019). His recent works include Sıfırıncı Gün (2022), Atatürk 1881-1919 (2023) and Kalpazan (2024). The actor, who founded AKKAdemi Theatre with his siblings in 2010, took the stage with Leyla Tanlar in the play "Job" in 2026.
