Demet Şener — Biography

Demet Şener was born on 11 April 1977 in Istanbul. After graduating from Nişantaşı Girls' High School she began modeling in 1994, won the Miss Turkey pageant in 1995 and represented her country at Miss World the same year.

Turning to acting after the pageant, Şener made her screen debut with Bir Demet Tiyatro and appeared in the series Böyle mi Olacaktı (1997), Gölge and Aşk Hırsızı (2000) and Reyting Hamdi (2002). On the big screen she acted in the films Asansör (1999), Kahpe Bizans (1999) and Hemşo (2000). Alongside modeling and acting, she has also worked as a television presenter.

She served as a jury member on the fashion program Stil Avcıları, broadcast on Fox Tv, together with Hakan Akkaya and Uğurkan Erez. In 2026 she returned to the tabloid spotlight when her years-long estrangement from her ex-husband İbrahim Kutluay, whom she divorced in 2018, came to an end.
