Duygu Sarışın — Biography

Duygu Sarışın was born on November 24, 1987 in İzmir. She graduated from İzmir Özel Türk Fen Lisesi high school in 2005, then trained as an actress at the Acting Department of Dokuz Eylül University's Faculty of Fine Arts, also developing an interest in fashion design at İzmir Ekonomi University during her studies. She gained her stage experience at the İzmir State Theatre, where she worked for many years.

She began her television career with the 2011 series Cennetin Sırları, going on to play a range of characters in later series including İnadına Yaşamak, Kaçak Gelinler and Rengarenk. In the 2017 series Ufak Tefek Cinayetler, whose cast also included Gökçe Bahadır and Tülin Özen, she reached a wider audience playing the character Burcu.

Across her career Sarışın has developed both in mainstream series roles and in character-driven parts, continuing her professional work by combining her İzmir theatre background with television projects.
