Itır Esen — Biography

Itır Esen, a model born in 1999 in Istanbul, is studying English Language Teaching at İstanbul University and is named after her aunt, the well-known Yeşilçam actress of the same name. She began modelling at the age of fourteen and went on to walk the runway for designers including Zeynep Erdoğan and Çiğdem Akın, as well as Meltem Özbek, Özgür Masur and Zeynep Tosun. In 2017, at eighteen, she was crowned the winner of the Miss Turkey pageant by the jury, but the title was withdrawn after an old social media post she had made about the events of 15 July came to light, and the crown passed to the runner-up. She later moved into presenting, co-hosting programming for the Survivor YouTube channel alongside Yusuf Akbaş.
