Krista Nell — Biography
Krista Nell, born Doris Kristanel on 21 January 1946 in Vienna, was an Austrian model and film actress who began her career in French cinema before relocating to Rome. There she worked steadily in Italian genre pictures of the late 1960s and early 1970s, becoming a familiar face in spaghetti Westerns such as Ivanhoe, the Norman Swordsman (1971), Kill Django... Kill First (1971) and Django and Sartana Are Coming... It's the End (1970), as well as in the era's Italian sex comedies. In her final film, The Bloodsucker Leads the Dance, she was originally intended for the lead role, but ill health saw her reduced to a supporting part during filming. Nell died of leukemia in Rome on 19 June 1975, at the age of twenty-nine.
