Nergis Öztürk — Biography

Nergis Öztürk (born 25 May 1980 in Kandıra, Kocaeli) is a Turkish stage, film and television actress, and also a theatre director. The daughter of a teacher mother and an electrician father, she graduated from the Theatre Department of Ankara University's Faculty of Language and History-Geography, then completed a master's degree in advanced acting at Bahçeşehir University.

She made her television debut in 2005 with the series Körfez Ateşi; her first feature film was Karagöz ve Hacivat Neden Öldürüldü?. She became widely known through the hit period series Hatırla Sevgili (2006) and took a leading role in Böyle Bitmesin (2012). Her stage performance in "Bunu Yapan İki Kişi" earned her the best comedy actress award at the 10th Lions Theatre Awards.

Her film credits include Barda (2006), Kıskanmak (2009), Atlıkarınca (2010), Gişe Memuru (2010), Yeraltı (2012), Sen Kiminle Dans Ediyorsun (2017) and Bergen (2022). She also appeared in the series Avlu and Pera Palas'ta Gece Yarısı, and in 2026 joined the cast of the series Haysiyet. She is married to actor Cemal Toktaş.
