Özge Ulusoy — Biography

Özge Ulusoy is a Turkish model, television host and actress best known for playing Yeliz Öğretmen in the Kanal D series Arka Sokaklar. Born on 28 October 1982 in Ankara to a family from İzmir, she is the youngest child of retired military judge Haydar Ulusoy and a former mayor. At twelve she was accepted into the classical ballet program at Hacettepe University's State Conservatory, later transferring to and graduating from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, and went on to study arts administration at Yeditepe University. After placing third in the Elite Model Look competition in 2002, she was runner-up at Miss Turkey in 2003 and won the Miss Turkey Universe title, then signed with Uğurkan Erez's agency and walked the runway for numerous designers and brands. She began her acting career with Arka Sokaklar in 2006, continuing in the series Senin Uğruna and Ateşe Yürümek, and from 2011 in films from Kutsal Damacana: Dracoola to Geniş Aile 2: Her Türlü. In 2011 she finished fifth on Survivor: Ünlüler-Gönüllüler and went on to win that year's Yok Böyle Dans. She was briefly married to producer Ferruh Taşdemir in 2010. After her father died in a traffic accident in 2022, she has publicly pursued the resulting legal case for years.
