Özgün Karaman — Biography

Özgün Karaman was born in Kocaeli on 15 January 1988. He studied geological engineering at Kocaeli University, and when he became interested in acting during his undergraduate years he decided to train in it. A keen basketball and tennis player, he chose a career in front of the camera despite his engineering degree.

His first series was Çakıl Taşları in 2010; the same year he joined the cast of Elde Var Hayat, and in 2014 he appeared in Mihrap Yerinde. He owes much of his recognition to the role of Emrecan in the family comedy Baba Candır, which began on TRT 1 in 2015. He later played Cem in Darısı Başımıza, Ömer in Kuzey Yıldızı İlk Aşk and Bora in Kasaba Doktoru, and in 2023 he appeared in the series Kraliçe. He is married to Pınar Kaya.
