Suavi Eren — Biography

Suavi Eren was born on 8 October 1949 in Bilecik and trained at the Istanbul Municipal Conservatory. He began his artistic career in 1959 with the Istanbul City Theatres, later working as an actor, director and art director for companies including Kadıköy Provincial Theatre, Tiyatrom, and, in Germany, Berlin Oyuncuları and the Schaubühne Berlin.

He made his film debut in the 1979 production Almanya Acı Vatan and went on to appear in films such as Kolay Para (2002), Zincirbozan (2007) and Karaoğlan (2013), as well as television series including Payitaht Abdülhamid and Huzur Sokağı, notably playing Kenan Evren in Zincirbozan.

Having appeared in more than fifty productions over his career, Eren more recently played the father of the character Altay in the series Teşkilat.
