Karaoğlan

Karaoğlan is a Turkish action, comedy and historical film directed by Kudret Sabancı, released in Turkey on 11 January 2013. Adapted from Suat Yalaz's classic comic book of the same name using contemporary filmmaking techniques, it was scripted by Sabancı together with Suat Yalaz and Melek Öztürk, and produced by TMC Film.

Set in 1238, the story begins as the Mongol army led by Camoka reaches the gates of Anatolia. The Turkic states decide the only defense is a united front, for which Çise Hatun must be given as a bride to the Golden Horde. Learning of the plan, the Mongols resolve to kill Çise Hatun to prevent the alliance, but she is under the protection of the legendary hero Karaoğlan. He is joined on the journey by Bayırgülü, the master swordsman Baybora, the warrior Balaban and his mentor Çalık. The cast includes Volkan Keskin, Müge Boz, Özlem Yılmaz, Hakan Karahan and Hasan Yalnızoğlu.
