Tim Seyfi — Biography

Tim Seyfi, born Timur Seyfettin Ölmez, splits his work as a Turkish-German actor between Germany and Turkey. His career began in German television and film and later extended to Turkish productions and international projects; he is best known today for the series Komiser Paşa, in which he played his first leading role in 2017, for Osman Sekiz on Turkish television, and for Guy Ritchie's Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre.

Born in Yıldızeli in Sivas Province, he took acting lessons from Ute Cremer in Munich and John Costopoulos in New York, studied at the Cours Florent in Paris, and speaks several languages fluently. His first experience in front of a camera came presenting on the German channel Tele 5, and from 1997 he took on more and more television and film roles. In 2001 he won Best Actor at the Badalona International Film Festival for the short film The Cookie Thief. In the following years he appeared in German productions such as Duvara Karşı, Tatort: Baum der Erlösung, Kebab mit alles, Bye Bye Germany and Die Känguru-Chroniken, and in international films such as Vincent Wants to Sea.

From the mid-2010s his work in Turkey grew: he acted in Çakallarla Dans 4, played General Harrington in a War of Independence film, appeared in the Netflix series Atiye, and took the lead in Osman Sekiz in 2022. His next project is Çakallarla Dans 8: Şututgart Çıkarması.
