Alarm for Cobra 11 – The Highway Police (Kobra Takibi)

Kobra Takibi is the Turkish broadcast title of Alarm für Cobra 11 – Die Autobahnpolizei, a German action-crime series that premiered on RTL on 12 March 1996. Centered on a two-man highway police team, the show drew more than 10 million viewers for its debut episode; shooting was originally based in Berlin before later seasons relocated to North Rhine-Westphalia.

Co-produced by Action Concept and Polyphon Film- und Fernsehgesellschaft, the series was directed by, among others, Leo Zahn and Franco Tozza, and ran for 50 seasons and 387 episodes. Regular episodes ended in 2021, with the show continuing as feature-length TV movies from 2022 onward. Turkish-German actors Fahri Yardım, Numan Acar and Tim Seyfi are among the performers who appeared in the series.
